Welcome to GC Combat, the Gold Coast’s home for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and MMA.
Built from the foundations of GCBJJ and GC Muay Thai, our gym brings together high-level coaching, competitive training, and a tight-knit community under one roof.

GCBJJ was founded in 2020 by Professor Daniel Almeida and has grown into one of Queensland’s most respected Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academies, recognised for technical excellence, structured learning, and competitive success.

In 2023, Braydon Fiveash, one of Daniel’s blue belt students, launched GC Muay Thai under Daniel’s mentorship, creating a powerful environment for striking athletes.

In 2025, GC Combat was born, uniting BJJ, Muay Thai, and MMA into a single comprehensive training academy.

Our mission is simple: build strong, confident, and skilled martial artists while fostering a community that feels like family.
